Caramel that wil knock your socks off!

I needed something to jazz up my morning cup o' joe and then remembered that my wonderful grandmother, Mimi, made the best best caramel in the world!!!
No but I'm serious... TRY IT! Let me know what you think.

Mimi's Caramel
1 Stick of Butter
1 Cup of Sugar
Melt in smaller pan on med heat and stir constantly with a wooden spoon
(not sure why a wooden spoon but Mimi says to so I do it!)
Keep stirring till it changes to a light caramel color

Remove from burner
Pour a 1/2 Cup of Half & Half into the pan and whisk til smooth.
Put back onto burner & barely simmer on low for 10 minutes.

(Keep in fridge)
